"With a valley, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. You are between the problem and no solution, the heartache and no answer to hear, the pain and no relief, and the struggle and no break."
So many times I hear Christians speak with power and say, “Lord give me my mountain.”
Today, I am looking for Christians who will dare to say, “Lord give me my valley.”
There is a difference between a mountain and a valley. When you talk about a God-given mountain, you think about the fact that no matter how hard that mountain is to climb, that because God gave it to you, you will reach the pinnacle of that mountain and rejoice.
So, with that mindset, you invite the mountain challenges. Mountain of debt: God will take my little and make it become much. Mountain of fear:
God make me as bold as a Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Mountain of defeat: God make me be more than a conqueror. Mountain of shame: God bring me out to rejoice again. Oh yes, we get it about mountains.
However, a valley? Who wants to celebrate a valley? Well, no one. With a valley, you navigate it differently. With a valley, you must have more vision because there is no pinnacle or top upon which to stand and admire a panoramic view of the land. No, the valley is darker, damper, and more dangerous. With a valley, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. You are between the problem and no solution, the heartache and no answer to hear, the pain and no relief, and the struggle and no break.
Yet, I am here to tell you that if you are going to grow into maturity in your Kingdom walk, then you will have to learn to traverse the valley. You will have to negotiate the dark, damp, and destructive forces of the valley. Why? Because the valley will validate you! The valley will prove and improve your posture. The valley will strengthen you in your weak places. The valley will reign in your flesh and force you to walk by faith.
And so the question is, “Are you ready for God’s Valley?”
Psalm 23:1
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Let’s understand that the One that is in charge of your life, your walk, your challenges, and everything concerning you, is The LORD. The LORD.
LORD - Jehovah - "the existing One," the proper name of the one true God.
So, allow this to settle it for you. The One in charge of your valley is the One who existed before anyone or anything. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. He is GOD!
He is the maker and owner of your valley. He made the leaves, the trees, the flowers, and the bees. He allowed your situation to exist. So, know that His plan for you is good and not evil. The plan is for you to come out of that valley. I know the valley is rough, but I want to encourage you to lift up your heads, oh ye gates and the King of glory shall come in. You will experience glory after the valley.
Do not allow the unknown of the valley to keep you from the victory in the valley and after the valley. God desires that you be more than a conqueror. Therefore, the valley experience has been designed to bring out the best in you. Stay focused, stay faithful, and God will see you through. Blessings Abound!
